Mom’s take: A rivals-to-lovers setup that actually earns the turn. The mountain setting is doing real work here too, not just wallpaper, and the fire season stakes give the romance somewhere to go besides bickering.
Daughter’s take: A reckless botanist who torches a ranger’s equipment shed to save a rare wildflower is exactly my type of unhinged heroine. Slow burn, literally and otherwise, and I am not sorry about that pun.
A slow-burn enemies-to-lovers romance set against a mountain in bloom, and on fire. The hype was right about this one.
